Our History

    Dr. Cam Campbell began the Iowa City area's community - based cardiology practice in 1987.
    Over twenty years later, we have ten cardiologists and three nurse practitioners providing over 55,000 annual patient visits in seven clinics throughout eastern Iowa.   The former solo practice Iowa City office has expanded to the entire fourth floor of Mercy Plaza. A four-physician fulltime branch office has opened in Cedar Rapids. Cardiologists and nurse practitioners from the Iowa City & Cedar Rapids Hearts Centers, P.C. provide services on a regular basis in Washington, Mt. Pleasant, Fairfield, Ft. Madison, and Dubuque. Forty support staff assist the physicians and nurse practitioners in providing a variety of diagnostic and treatment heart and vascular services, including in our nationally certified nuclear and ultrasound imaging departments.
    Throughout this expansion, the cardiologists and staff of the Iowa City & Cedar Rapids Heart Centers have stayed true to the core values of providing Caring, Complete, Close Cardiology to patients and referring physicians.
