Our History

    Dr. Cam Campbell began the Iowa City area's community - based cardiology practice in 1987.
    Over twenty years later, we have eleven cardiologists and five nurse practitioners providing over 55,000 annual patient visits in eight clinics throughout eastern Iowa. The former solo practice Iowa City office has expanded to the entire fourth floor of Mercy Plaza. With a similar sized office in Cedar Rapids adjacent to Mercy Medical Center. Cardiologists and nurse practitioners from the Iowa City & Cedar Rapids Hearts Centers, P.C. also provide services on a regular basis in Washington, Mt. Pleasant, Fairfield, Ft. Madison, Vinton, and Dubuque. Forty support staff assist the physicians and nurse practitioners in providing a variety of diagnostic treatments and heart and vascular services, including in our nationally certified nuclear and ultrasound imaging departments.
    Throughout this expansion, the cardiologists and staff of the Iowa City & Cedar Rapids Heart Centers have stayed true to the core values of providing a Clear Difference to patients and referring physicians.
